Porcelain Veneers in Turkey
Veneers are tiny pieces of porcelain that is glued to the front of your teeth to change their color or shape. Veneers are applied to teeth with uneven surfaces, as well as those that are chipped, discolored, strangely shaped, irregularly spaced, or crooked. Little or no anesthesia is needed.
Specialists at our partner clinic, Vivi Dental Clinic, are trained, qualified and equipped to provide dental veneer service to international patients.
Veneers are typically created by a dental lab technician using a model digitally scanned by your dentist, Dr. Fulya at our VIP partner dental clinic in Antalya.

How to Choose a Dentist
When placed by a qualified and experienced cosmetic dentist, veneers have a stunningly natural look. To better ensure a satisfactory outcome, patients should be highly selective in choosing their dentist. Although many dentists offer veneers, the best results are more likely to come from those who have an extensive background in cosmetic dentistry in general and veneers in particular.
Veneers as a Dental Investment
Although veneers typically cost more than other cosmetic treatments, most patients who receive these enhancements consider them to be a very worthwhile investment. Because veneers have so many applications, by choosing this single treatment, patients can enjoy the benefits of teeth whitening, orthodontic treatment, and dental crowns, all at once. In addition, veneers offer incredibly lifelike results. After placement, many patients feel more confident than they have felt in years
Veneer’s Life Expectancy
Veneers outlast tooth bonding or also known as composite bonding in terms of life expectancy and color stability, and they are particularly resistant to permanent stains from coffee, tea, or even cigarette smoking
Advantages over Other Procedures
In addition to the comprehensive nature of veneers, this treatment offers a number of advantages over similar alternatives:
- Veneers are stain resistant and last for years at a time. When patients choose teeth whitening treatment, they often receive less dramatic results and must undergo touchup treatments approximately twice a year.
- Veneers look more lifelike than similar enhancements. Cosmetic dental bonding can correct similar flaws, but the material is opaque, meaning it does not reflect light the way porcelain does.
- Veneers are stronger than composite resin
Increased Confidence and Happiness
One of the biggest advantages of porcelain veneers is the effect they can have on a patient’s self-assurance and emotional wellness. When patients feel good about the appearance of their teeth, they are more likely to smile. In turn, this can increase their mood, social life, and even professional success.
Veneers Process
Typically, veneers entail at least three appointments: diagnosis and treatment planning, preparation, and bonding.
During the tooth preparation visit, usually lasting one to two hours, the teeth are lightly buffed to allow for the small added thickness of the veneer. Usually, about a half a millimeter of the tooth is removed, which may require a local anesthetic.
During the same appointment, a 3D digital scan of teeth (or a mold if needed) is taken of the teeth, and sent to the laboratory for the fabrication of the veneers.
During the final “bonding” appointment, also about one or two hours, the veneers are placed on the tooth surface with water or glycerine on the teeth to check their fit and get a sense of the shade or color.
While the veneers are resting on your teeth, they can be adjusted with various shades of cement to match the color of your teeth.
To apply the veneer, the tooth is cleansed with specific chemicals to achieve a bond. Once a special cement is sandwiched between the veneer and tooth, a visible light beam, or laser, causes a catalyst to be released, hardening the cement.
You may notice a change in the size and form of your teeth during the two-week adjustment period that follows. Brushing and flossing should be done on a daily basis.
Porcelain veneers are good substitutes for real teeth, not complete replacements. On careful inspection, minor color differences in porcelain veneers are frequent, since they exist in real teeth as well.
